General Data Protection

WHEN IS INFORMATION DELETED

Membership forms are kept for the pertinent membership year and once the membership process for the subsequent year has concluded, the previous years’ membership forms are destroyed.  From time to time the electronic contact information records are reviewed and if it is deemed to be the case that a lapsed member is not likely to renew their membership then their electronic record is erased.

 

YOUR RIGHTS:

You have the right:-

  •          to be informed of why we collect your data and what we do with it

  •          the right of access to the data we hold on you ( it will be provided as soon as possible and within 30 days of request )

  •          the right to rectification if you consider the data we hold is incorrect;

  •          the right to erasure of your data when you leave the club;

  •          the right to restrict processing of your data;

  •          the right to data portability, i.e. your data to be available in an easily viewable format;

  •          the right to object to any use of your data: and

  •          the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.

 

If the Club wishes to refuse a request made within the above Rights then we must give reasons and respond within 30 days.

 

ON-GOING:

The new rules require that a person is made aware at the time of giving personal information what that information is to be used for and to obtain their consent.  Our membership forms will be amended henceforth to comply with these new Data Protection (GDPR) regulations.

 

The above will also form the core of our on-going Data Privacy rules.
